Rotary Young Photographer Of The Year 2026

This year’s Haddenham And District Rotary Young Photographer Of The Year subject is completely and utterly YOUR CHOICE!

That’s it. No theme, no list of rules about what to point your camera at.

Photograph whatever you want: a person, a pet, a place, something you’ve made, a moment you want to remember forever. The only thing that matters is that you actually care about it. The best photographs, every single year, are the ones where you can tell the photographer loved what they were looking at.

So go and find your subject. We can’t wait to see it!

Please upload your entry to the Haddenham and District Rotary Club Young Photographer Of The Year 2026 using the entry form below. We will need a little bit of information from you. Entries are free and with a total of £400 of cash prizes up for grabs, what is there to lose? We cannot wait to see what you come up with!

COMPETITION RULES

This competition is open for entrants residing within Aylesbury Vale and South Oxfordshire regions only. Entries from other areas will be disqualified.
One photograph per person may be entered, which must be an original work and taken by the entrant.
Entries should be in JPEG format with a file size no larger than 10Mb (5Mb is adequate)
Images generated by artificial intelligence are strictly prohibited. Entries will be checked, and any entry deemed to be generated by A.I. will be disqualified.
The competition is about photography, and significant post-production editing is discouraged.
Each person age 18 or over depicted in a submitted image, must each give their permission, and each person under age 18 depicted must each have been given permission by their Responsible Adult (e.g. parent, guardian or carer), for the image to be submitted as an entry in the Competition.
Each entrant under age 18 must have been given the permission of their Responsible Adult (e.g. parent, guardian or carer), for their image to be submitted as an entry in the Competition.
Entries must be received no later than midnight on 13th September 2026.
The judging panel will include Rotary Competition organisers and Paul Wilkinson FBIPP FSWPP as a professional industry judge. The judges will have sole discretion in the allocation of awards. The judges’ decision is final, and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into
Copyright remains with the photographer, but entrants authorise Rotary to reproduce and use their photograph in any format for judging, promotional and publicity purposes. This may include but not be limited to, public exhibition and publishing on Rotary and chosen third-party websites
The personal information you give us is used solely for this event, and by entering, you consent for us to contact you about this and future events. Personal information may be shared with selected third parties e.g. for judging and promotional/publicity purposes. Shared and published personal information (if used at all) will use only the entrant’s age group (not the actual age), and their first name.
