Children’s Portrait Photography

This business originally grew out of the beautiful pictures that Paul created of his own, young family, so it might not come as such a surprise to find we still specialise in photographing children! In fact, the bestselling book “Mastering Portrait Photography” that Paul co-wrote with Sarah Plater, features an award-winning image he created of a young boy called Ben (who is now a strapping 20-something who rows for Team GB!)

Children’s photography, it seems, will always be at the centre of our studio.

Every parent – including us – knows how special each and every picture you have of your kids and how every time you look at that frame on your wall or page in an album, it takes you straight back to that unique age before they turned into teenagers (though that is an equally special time!)

Having a framed picture of your kids on a wall where you can see it every day is a truly magical thing!

Here at the studio we are uniquely set up for photographing children: from natural outdoor settings to something more classical in our studio. In fact, our studio doors open out onto one of the world’s unique gardens: Turn End Gardens which is listed by English Heritage as being globally important!

This garden is a wonderful space for creating pictures of kids. It is a stunning space in it’s own right but immediately you can see it’s perfect for children’s portraiture with its alleyways, steps, doorways, benches, hidden paths and sweeping lawn. All of this helps create the stunning kid’s photography we’ve won awards with.

Our studio garden is a unique space for creating beautiful childhood images!

But it doesn’t end there: we also have a very sophisticated studio right here on site (there’s no need to travel anywhere else) and so in the same session we can step inside and create something cooly classic if that’s what you’re looking for (or just to create a little variety inside out of the cold and the rain!)

Our small but sophisticated little studio is perfect for creating something more classical (though always with a twist!)

If, on the other hand, you’d prefer to be out and about, we can also arrange to either use our beautiful little village as a backdrop or we can borrow someone else’s as Haddenham is surrounded by the most quintessentially English countryside that is within easy walking distance or a short drive. Whatever suits you.

If you’d rather be out and about then, of course, we can do that too!

No matter what you prefer, we can create beautiful frames for your wall celebrating that wonderful thing that is childhood!

If you’d like to see if we can create some beautiful children’s portraits for you and your family, please do get in touch!

Until then, here are a few images to have a look through:
