Photography Workshops And Training

Why not book a one-to-one photography training day with us? With the facilities and skills that we have onsite, our one-day photography workshops here at our studio and stunning garden are perfect for developing new skills or pushing those you already have to the next level.  Aimed at professionals and experienced enthusiasts alike, we can build a day completely around your requirements, whether it’s posing, lighting, post-production or, if you’re looking for help with your business, anything from sales to workflow.

Workshop Topics

You can design your day to suit you, focussing (forgive the pun) on whatever aspects of portrait photography that you’d like to explore.  Some of the things we have been asked to work on have been:

  • Available light photography
  • Using locations and the environment
  • Discovering and refining your own style
  • Camera craft
  • Off-camera flash
  • Studio lighting and control
  • Lighting faces and the figure
  • Workflow and image management
  • Post production and retouching
  • Getting the most out of your printing
  • Planning a wedding with the couple
  • Shooting for the sale
  • The client reveal and how to maximise revenue
  • Using albums as an alternative product to frames

Build A Day That Perfectly Suits You

Each and every portrait photography workshop is hand-crafted to suit you and your requirements – just let us know the aspects that you’re interested in when you book and we’ll make sure we can cover it (and we’ll let you know if we can’t!)

The day usually begins at 10am and finishes when everyone’s had their fill! If you’re travelling across the country and need somewhere to stay we can recommend hotels locally – just ask for the list when you book your day.

Photography Workshop Pricing

full day photography workshop here at our studio (including lunch and models) is £675. If you would like to come as a group, each additional person is £50

Each attendee will also receive a signed copy of Paul’s and Sarah Plater’s book

See What We Get Up To

It’s not just a huge amount of fun (and hopefully useful!), but we create some beautiful images in our workshops.  Here are just a few.
