I’m writing this blog in the middle of the winter, with dark nights (and the days don’t seem much lighter!) though today we’ve had a lovely family portrait shoot but I admit we had to skip in and out of the showers!
Well, for these cousins, we were still in the warmth of last year’s wonderful summer sunshine! These images were created over two shoots – one for the brother Leo and Austin and one for their cousin Eliza. It would have been lovely to have photographed them as a single group but it doesn’t always work that way!
Each of the kids was absolutely brilliant, laughing throughout the shoot – lacking front teeth should never be a limited factor to a great big grin! These are things of family memories!
I love these family shoots – so much fun to do: its more about laughing and having a fabulous time than it is about the technical aspects of photography (if the children are having a good time then the images will happen – if they’re not having a good time, it really really doesn’t matter how smart I am with the camera, the images won’t have any life or energy about them whatsoever!)
So two lovely shoots, and a wonderful set of images created for their grandparents – and two absolutely lovely albums that sit in pride of place on their coffee table!
Enjoy some of the images from these two lovely sessions!
