Andrea and Tom’s wedding was the first time I’ve worked in Castle Combe but it’s not the last: coincidentally, we had a wonderful engagement shoot the following day, the bridal preparations for another wedding and another stunning wedding yet to come next year! It goes like that sometimes: prior to this day, I had barely heard of the Manor House Hotel in this stunning Cotswold village and I will soon have worked there four times in less than half a year!
And I have to say that is a very very good thing as this is one hell of a location! It is STUNNING!
Andrea and Tom’s wedding was equally as beautiful. And I absolutely loved it. Andrea and Tom didn’t want much in the way of formal images (which is to say, they didn’t really want ANY formal images if we could get away with it) and so we kept the formalities to a bare minimum and had the best day laughing with them, their family and their guests!
So many stories from the day: you should ask me about the emotional service animal letter and hotel guest’s dog who not only insisted on following me around but went to the loo practically on my shoes (and they’re Churches!); a perfect first dance; a bandstand for some images in the rain and a relative of the couple performing the most unfathomable card tricks for some of the guests.
Such a fabulous day.
Just to say thanks so much for the fantastic photos of our wedding. We are absolutely thrilled. Your speed, professionalism and sense of humour put everyone at ease and this really shows!
You have managed to capture the essence of our day brilliantly and it is so lovely to think that in years to come our photos will bring back such happy memories.
