As the sun dipped below the horizon, we created some truly romantic images!

There are days when you have to pinch yourself.  This being one of them.  Imagine my delight when a couple of world-renowned classical musicians asked us to create their wedding images for them.  Not one musician but two. Couldn’t believe my luck!

I knew the minute we met, that we’d get on famously with Anna and Ben (we created PR images for them which is how we met, funny how things turn out) and so we knew their day would be glorious.  But that wasn’t even close!

The day was incredible – and all here in Haddenham which made it all the more stunning!

Every minute of the day was full of music – it seems that everyone who came to the wedding had a musical talent (some professional, others just sheer talent.)  Such was the quality of the music during the ceremony, that it almost stopped me dead in my tracks – which is not, frankly, ideal when you’re supposed to be photographing the couple signing the register!  I have never ever heard such moving performances during a wedding ceremony.

And that was just the beginning – the evening band (drawn from the same incredible talent pool) was possibly the best wedding band I’ve ever had the thrill of listening to! And also the funniest. They just looked like they were having the time of their lives which, incidentally, is what everyone on the dance floor was having too!

And in amongst all this melodic mayhem, was the gentlest, most romantic of village weddings. Almost everyone involved (from the tractor driver, the people serving drinks, the evening bar) was local – we knew absolutely everyone!) and the whole event was hosted in a marquee in our local school grounds. So much affection it was untrue.

The icing on the cake was a quick trip down to the local pond (we would have walked but our Land Rover served as a useful, if a little undignified, aid to get us there in time for a glorious sunset!) where Ben had first proposed to Anna. Here, as the sun dipped below the horizon, we created some images that reflect perfectly the nature of this one-in-a-lifetime weddings.

Simply stunning!

Anna and Ben wrote this when they came to see their images:

Thank you so much for providing us with such a wonderful set of photos from our wedding! As promised you made it very difficult to turn any of them down. The service you provided was so personal and the resulting photographs really captured the soul of the day. You both were fun, yet discreet and made everyone feel extremely comfortable. We are so lucky to have found you!

Thank you so much!

And that is just the icing on the cake!
