I’m sitting writing this as Kasabian are storming through their Glastonbury set live on the TV (one of those iconic bands who can absolutely kill it!) One of these days I’ll manage to get Sarah and I tickets to go but it’s always tricky given we nearly always have long-booked weddings in the diary.
And so it is that I am sitting – in the comfort of my own home rather than under dubious canvas – writing this blog having shot a gorgeous wedding yesterday that I wouldn’t have missed for any festival. Maybe next year!
Anyway, to another beautiful wedding I captured earlier this year at Le Manoir. Given we shoot more weddings at this incomparable venue than anywhere else, you’d be forgiven for assuming we might take it for granted but that could not be further from the truth. In spite of me feeling very much at home at Le Manoir, I always get nervous before a wedding, even here. Which is a good thing as it keeps me on my toes!

Claire and Eddie’s wedding was truly small but it was full of the most wonderful details: from the flower arrangements created by the adorable Fabulous Flowers (their work is faultless) to the awe-inspiring birds of prey by Wheatley Birds, it was a visual treat. Add onto that a bride and groom who have made us smile from the first moment we spoke to them, this is one of those weddings we, along with everyone else involved, will remember for a long time to come!
