So it’s been a little while since I’ve written a blog but, hopefully, you’re enjoying the new design of our website and blog – lots to see and plenty of ways to find posts about particular venues, suppliers and various photographic flavours. A huge effort (I’ve possibly typed more in the past few weeks than ever before – just nothing that would make interesting reading, at least not to anyone other than website coders!) but, with any luck, a nicer place to browse!
So here are some images from a sublime day creating wedding photography at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire.
I’ve known Hannah for many years now – she is one of the amazing teachers at one of Haddenham’s unbeatable schools and has taught both of our kids – so it was an absolute pleasure to be asked to photograph her wedding.
And what a wedding! It’s not every day you get to create wedding images at such a huge and iconic venue as Blenheim (couldn’t stop thinking of the Hollywood blockbusters that have been filmed there!) and with a bride and groom who laughed from start to finish, guests who made me feel incredibly welcome (apologies to the lovely teachers who I sat with for the wedding breakfast – I am a terrible guest as I had to keep leaping up, mid conversation, to capture an image or two!) and a venue that, well, took the breath away.
And all of it happened in near-perfect weather too (even the evening clouds created just the right amount of character to the sky!)
Oh, and yes, I ended up in one of my own photos…
