And so to something completely different…
We don’t post so many blogs about our baby portraits and for the life of me I don’t really know why as they’re always a ball and, as Emma has kindly given us permission I thought I’d write one up.
I’ve know Emma – who is lovely by the way – since I photographed her wedding a couple of years ago and I have loved working with her and Tim, and now their baby Theo, ever since! This shoot happened in September (it only seems like yesterday when you could sit out in our garden in a T-shirt!) and I loved Theo’s grin more than anything. Every image where he’s laughing just seems to light up our screens here.
Baby portrait sessions are always pretty short (babies – and Theo is no exception – get bored just like the rest of us but without the ability to understand bribery!) so in the hour we spend with them, we make it nice and chilled, full of laughter and with as much variety as we can cram in. And it seems to work, too, judging by the feedback we get from parents!
Here are just a few from the session.
Oh Wow! I fell in love with this picture of Grace the moment I saw it on my computer screen, looking for an image for Amy, Jonny & Grace’s DVD cover.
Big or small ? Not everyone has huge amounts of wall space but if you have, this would look utterly stunning !
It is always nice when we hear back from our clients to tell us that they have a new addition to the family.
Paul photographed Phil & Donna’s wedding back in 2009 and we were delighted when they told us that they had had a gorgeous little girl and would love Paul to take some pictures of her.
We will shortly be photographing Florenza again for her second shoot, but wanted to share some of the beautiful images taken in our studio from her first session with us.
I think these look fantastic in black & white, who else agrees ?
One of the greatest pleasures we have is when our wedding clients come back to us to have their new families photographed! It’s really lovely for all of us in the team; it’s simply great to catch up with them again and it’s always a joy to photograph families!
So here are Ricky, Emily, Lily and Beatrice. And one gorgeous album choc-full of images from Beatrice’s first year. As Ricky so eloquently put it: it’s something beautiful they will always have to treasure those first twelve months!
He is so right!
Welcome to one of our annual highlights – the Puddleducks Preschool family photography day! We’ve been doing this for quite a few years now to support the amazing work at this pre-school nursery. Our own children went there so it’s really close to our hearts.
This session is always amazing and challenging. We only allow 15 minutes of shooting per family which heightens the pressure for Paul somewhat but it’s a huge amount of fun! We try very hard to do much of it outside (always Paul’s preferred location when it comes to photographing children). This year we hosted the shoot at the new studio so we covered all options but as the weather was beautiful for March, we were able to photograph just outside in Turn End gardens all day. A real treat.
One very long but rewarding day for Paul – 16 families photographed and we met some lovely people along the way.
Enjoy our highlights!
